National Hot Cocoa Day

A whole day dedicated to our most beloved hot beverages!! I thought id share my favorite recipe with you guys!! 

MEXICAN HOT CHOCOLATE! 

One packet of your favorite hot cocoa mix

One healthy squeeze of chocolate syrup 

Spoonful of cinnamon 

A pinch of chili powder (YUMMY) 

A quarter cup of milk 

Three quarter cups of boiling hot water

Mix it all up, add some whip cream and ENJOY!!

Winter Fashion that is HOT!

As you probably already know, I love winter fashion but am feeling conflicted lately. I'll dress up all warm and "cute" and then look in the mirror and feel like Im walking out of an igloo and ready to hit a bad storm. Not a good look! LOL 

Here are some ideas I saw on Pinterest that really caught my attention!

IM IN LOVE! This look is so feminine and pretty. You have a mixture of cottons, linens and leather! Loving this dress, leather jacket look. What more could a girl ask for?!

Another Favorite! I'm loving the LONG, wide legged medium washed denim. With the sheer white blouse and pop of color in the scarf... UFF... just classy and and put together!

Last but not least al BLACK and GOLD! My two favorite colors! Wide leg, long black trousers, loose 3/4 black top and a thick gold belt around the waist; one word... SEXY!

Morning and Evening skin care routine!

I cannot stress enough how important a good skin care routine is!! Everyday, twice a day!! I will admit, I have always had a hard time sticking to a regimen but once I forced myself to, the results were amazing! 

In the past I would wash my face only once a day, at night, with a bar of soap, in the shower. If that was too much work for me, I would go straight to the makeup remover wipes and call it a day. In the morning? Forget it, I was too tired to wash my face and would wake up and just start pounding on the makeup.  

We obviously know why it is important to wash your face in the evening for men and women, but is it necessary to re-wash your already clean face in the morning? YES, YES IT IS! Our entire body goes through a rejuvenation while we sleep and oils and toxins leave our body, especially in the face. This is why your face may seem oily in the morning, or you can smell the wine you drank the night before. Washing your face in the morning removes all the oils that your body extracted during sleep and really gives you a clean slate! 

So what's my routine? Well here you go: 

In the morning I wash my face with Avon's ANEW REJUVENATE Revitalizing 2-in-1 Gel Cleanser. It creates super a perfect lather and leaves me and my skin feel super refreshed! I then use Sea Breeze Fresh-Clean Astringent. I love this toner because it doesn't make my skin sting but instead tingle and feel fresh. Now for my moisturizers I am obsessed with Lumene Bright Now Vitamin C Dry Skin Cocktail. I then apply my Avon 

ANEW REJUVENATE Day Revitalizing Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 25. That's it! I'm ready to apply my makeup and start the day!!

In the evening, my routine doesn't change too much. I still use my Avon cleanser but after that I was my face a second time with Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit Foaming Scrub. I then use the same astringent and Lumene cocktail. I finsh off my skin moisturizer with Garnier Ultra-Lift Intensive Deep wrinkle night cream. 

So that is my morning and evening skin care routine and I am so happy with it and the results. My face looks fresh, clean, smooth, plump, and younger!

Nails NAILS Nails

Who doesn't love a fresh mani, brand new full set, clean cuticles and pretty hands?!

That's right, EVERYONE! 

I had a horrible experience last night at my salon. My nails just did not want to cooperate and the gel became bubbly and  my color selection was totally awful! So what did I do? I'll tell you what I did! 

I went to CVS and purchased the Sally Hansen Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips and in 15 minutes I had a set of nails that looked better than they did when I left the salon!! I purchased mine in Lust-rous which is a black polish with specks of gold and silver! Super appropriate for this cooler weather and they match everything I wear. 

Like I said, it took me 15 minutes to apply these strips. I did it on my lunch break at work in my car. When I returned to the office all the girls asked if I went to the nail place during lunch. NOPE, I sure didn't! 

Check them out! They have amazing solid colors and some pretty cool design ones too!!

Current Favorites!!

I'm make-up obsessed right now!! Correction, I'm always OBSESSED, however, I have found some amazing DRUGSTORE products that have become my essentials.

My first fabulous find is the Jordana 12 HR Made to Last Eyeshadow Pencil in all of the colors but especially the color Continuous Almond! This stuff lasts ALL day, is matte, waterproof and SUPER blend able. It is also very versatile in its use. I decided to use it as a highlighter one day and the rest was history! I literally use this eye shadow pencil everywhere i want to highlight and it is amazing! Oh and ladies; it's $3.99!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HELLOOOOOOOOOO xox

I just purchased the e.l.f. Studio Mineral Powder Brush for applying bronzer and contouring... AMAZING! This brush is from their studio line and is $3.00! WHAT A FREAKING DEAL!

Also from e.l.f is their Studio High Definition Undereye Setting Powder. I will never go without this! (for now at least!) it doesnt get cakey, and has the most perfect finish to it. It comes with a little brush for application but is much too small. I use the e.l.f. small stipple brush for application and its amazing!

Since the weather is getting slightly more gloomy I decided to go for a dramatic dark nail and fell in love with OPI Classics Collection Nail Lacquer Lincoln Park After Dark!!
